Lightroom Edits With Jeff Schewe – Part One

On Wednesday, September 30th, we held a live RAW edits with Jeff Schewe on Zoom.  We had over 300 people attend this Zoom meeting and Jeff shared with us his expertise with Lightroom.

Jeff is one of the foremeost experts on Lightroom and he is an excellent teacher.  He’s a great friend and we have traveled together to many corners of the world.  I am a Phase One , Capture One user and he’s, of course, a Lightroom user.  This has always been a fun difference between us and has provided many opportunities for each of us to bust on each other.  To be truthful we use both programs and both of us are pretty darn good with these programs.

We have two Zoom meetings with Jeff.  This one was recorded on September 30, 2020 and our next episode is this coming Wednesday, October 7th, at 5 PM.  In the first video Jeff shared with us his before and after images and how he achieved his results.  On our upcoming Zoom meeting, Jeff will be adjusting images from our readers.  You still have time to send your images in if you are interested.  These need to be sent to [email protected] using WeTransfer.com.  Monday 4 PM eastern time will be the deadline so we can give Jeff a little time to get things set up on his side.

To be part of this event you must register. Upon registration, you’ll receive a link to the event and a confirmation. Please register HERE.  Once you are registered you will receive a confirmation with the link to the meeting.  It says Join Meeting with a link.  That link is to be used the day and time of the meeting.  We have had a few people click it thinking they could join the meeting at that time.  See the dates and times above. This is Eastern US Time.

We will record this zoom video and post it on the site in case you can’t make it or be part of the whole session (just like this Zoom Meeting).  You’ll be able to ask questions during the event at certain points.  This is a session you don’t want to miss.  We are limited with attendees so.  REGISTER TODAY.

The Video

In this video Jeff shares with us his edits that he applied to his own images using Lightroom.  Jeff covers many of the Lightroom tools as well as giving us a peek at new features coming in soon to be released version.

Please note.  There are certain spots that sound drops out.  This is due to connection issues.  Please bear with it.

Photography is my passion and has been for 50 plus years. My career in photography has allowed me to travel the world, meet some of the most interesting people on the planet and see things I could never have dreamed of. My goal is to share the passion of picture taking through photographs and teaching with as many people as I can, hoping it brings them as much joy and happiness as it has me. I do this through photoPXL.com, this site, as well as Rockhopper Workshops, and other projects, as well as teaching as Artist In Residence at the Indianapolis Art Center.
