Iceland Photography Workshops for 2022 Launched

It’s time to get out and photograph again. I am proud to announce that, besides our previously announced photography workshops, we have just launched two Iceland photography workshops for 2022.

Everyone knows Iceland is one of the greatest and most photographed places in the world. I have been traveling to Iceland since 2004. It’s not unusual for me to be there several times a year.

Over the last couple of years, for obvious reasons, I took some time off from visiting Iceland. The time has finally come to return and photograph this amazing landscape again. It seems no matter how many times I go and visit, I always come back with something different. The weather and light are always changing in Iceland, along with the seasons. So, you never know what to expect but whatever it is will be worth photographing.

In 2022, we will offer two workshops. One takes a northern route, and the other will be along the Highlands and southern coast. Each will offer amazing photographic opportunities. Each workshop will have only 12 attendees, which will allow us plenty of room in our customized 4WD vehicle.

I’ll be working with Skarpi Thrainsson as our guide this year. I have known Skarpi for years and consider him a great friend. He knows Iceland like few others. He also owns one the bestequipped fleets of expedition vehicles in Iceland. Together, we will get you to some of the most outstanding locations and ensure you come home with portfolioworthy images.

This is an allinclusive workshop. We will pick you up at the airport and transport you for the duration of the trip to each location. At the end of the workshop, we will return you to the airport. You will have your own room at each hotel and guest house we visit. Plus, all your meals are included. The only extras will be any incidentals and alcoholic beverages.

I am very excited to visit Iceland again. I am all about getting the best shot and having a fun time doing it. There will be great conversation and learning opportunities throughout the trip. To maximize your Iceland experience, I would suggest joining us on both of these workshops if you can.

Please visit rockhopperworkshops.com for all the details. You can visit our March Workshop and our October Workshop pages directly. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at [email protected] or give me a call at +1 317-379-7482.

I hope our paths cross on these workshops. I am very excited to get out there and photograph again. It’s time to put the pandemic behind us.

P.S. To attend this workshop, you must comply with Iceland‘s COVID19 protocols. As such, you will need to have proof of vaccination.

Photography is my passion and has been for 50 plus years. My career in photography has allowed me to travel the world, meet some of the most interesting people on the planet and see things I could never have dreamed of. My goal is to share the passion of picture taking through photographs and teaching with as many people as I can, hoping it brings them as much joy and happiness as it has me. I do this through photoPXL.com, this site, as well as Rockhopper Workshops, and other projects, as well as teaching as Artist In Residence at the Indianapolis Art Center.
