I don’t know what product is being used, but here is one called CleanTalk that describes what they do and why:

“According to an estimate backed up by independent researchers, the creation of an average NFT has a stunning environmental footprint of over 200 kilograms of planet-warming carbon, equivalent to driving 500 miles in a typical American gasoline-powered car.”

“It turns out my release of six crypto-artworks consumed in 10 seconds more electricity than the entire studio over the past 2 years,” Mr. Lemercier wrote on his website. He said he was putting future NFT releases on hold. “It felt like madness to even consider continuing that practice.”

The climate cost of NFT is very high, so not a fan of these or any other blockchain technology:

I like this image very much.  At the risk of stepping in unasked, I find the left side distracting from from the boat under the huge iceberg.  I tried cropping some from the left edge.  Thoughts?

The colours you find in Morocco are striking, Keith. I’m intrigued by the small arch. Why the plural in the title?

    Jeremy

I will venture a guess.  The woman is fairly large and has a garment wrapped on her which is the same color as the tiger and has spots on it like a leopard.  A wonderful shot and a great title.

Yes, there is a way.  See this video to check whether you are following all the required steps:

PS I have no personal knowledge of this but am considering buying a Sony a7R4 so have been researching.

Outstanding images.  This series brings back memories.  The only reason I did not get drafted to go to Vietnam is my lottery number (266) and the fact that the war was winding down around the time I was eligible to be drafted.

    Rand,

Thanks for your thoughtful input.  I went back and looked at about 185 photos that I have printed, excluding panoramic (> 1.5 aspect ratio).  I checked to see which format (3:2 or 4:3)  would require the least amount of cropping to get the aspect ratio of the image as printed:

    53% did better with 3:2

    47% did better with 4:3

Some of the images that were closer to 4:3 were of wildlife or taken at the zoo and those need a long zoom so probably should be classified as better 3:2 but I didn’t try to separate them out.

Do you use focus stacking with the GFX 100 often?

Is the LCD screen on GFX 100 (and presumably 100S) bright enough to see adequately in bright sunlight?  How does it compare with the Sony A7r4?  I often have difficulty with the lack of sufficient brightness of the LCD on my Sony A7r2 when used in full sun.  Is the LCD on the A7r4 improved any in this regard?
