I get this message “anti crawler protection activated for this site” when I open this site for viewing.
Then it takes a few seconds to a half minute before the site opens.
WHAT is this? Is it something I need to worry about? Is it a problem with my computer?

Re: Anti Crawler Protection activated for this site?Reply #3 on: April 23, 2021 at 4:28 pmThanks for letting us know. The developers installed an anti-spam feature yesterday. Perhaps this has something to do with the issue. I will check and post an update here.

Re: Anti Crawler Protection activated for this site?Reply #4 on: April 23, 2021 at 4:49 pmI just tested it by logging out and back on with no issues. We also tried a dummy account from here. No issues. Most likely our web guys are working on the problem now. If anyone is experiencing the problem please let us know.
We have had a ton of spammers hit the site lately. Chris does a great job countering their attacks but we are trying to prevent them from even getting in in the first place. Thanks for your understanding and please always let us know when something different pops up.
Re: Anti Crawler Protection activated for this site?Reply #5 on: April 23, 2021 at 5:09 pmHere is the developer’s reply,
“Yes, the anti-spam software we installed is pretty robust and included an anti crawler bot protection. This would prevent bots from crawling the website (aside from those used by search engines). However, it looks to be preventing some people from loading the site quickly. This is likely due to them having cookies, or applications that crawl the site.”We have turned this feature off and left the anti-spam feature on. Let us know if you see anymore problems.
We have had a peaceful 48 hours with the bot on…but it should not be at the expense of usability.
Let’s see how it goes with the bot off.

Re: Anti Crawler Protection activated for this site?Reply #6 on: April 24, 2021 at 9:55 pmThank you for checking. I have no idea what the thing was referring to. I know Night Crawlers but not computer crawlers. These Electronic Hellboxes are a real pain much of the time. I’m more a “monkey see- monkey do” type with this machine. Once past the easily done stuff I’m lost.
Was worried I was doing something wrong.
