<p>Just signed up for an Epson event demonstrating the new printers in my hood.  Their are several locations around the country so for anyone interested in seeing them, this sounds like a good opportunity. Lunch is included and it sounds like you get to print some of your own files.</p>

That’s interesting Paul. Do you have a link to where these events are happening?

At 55 inches wide, it’s only 12 inches narrower than my 9800. I guess that means the 9570 will be 8 inches wider than my 9800. That’s a tight fit for me.

Design is quite different – for one thing, if my memory serves me correctly I think it has more inks. Also it is designed with more user accessibility to do various bits of maintenance without needing to call a technician, and there is no more need to switch channels for MK/PK ink changes. Perhaps some or all of that needed a few extra inches.

<p>I got to see the 9570 in action and print a couple of my images at a local Epson open house. While it is a great printer, the image quality was not significantly different from my 9890-I print primarily B&W.  The biggest attraction for my work flow is not having to switch PK and MK, but at this entry price I will wait until my 9890 dies.  Hopefully by then the new printer smell will have faded and the price come down. If I didn’t have the 9890 and were looking for a wide format printer, the 9570 would receive serious consideration.  </p>

About twice as many. Do you still need a foot or so room on either end to access the waste ink collectors?
