2024 Palouse Workshops Announced

2 Workshops June 10-15 and June 17-22, 2024

You can read about many of our past workshops to the amazing Palouse region of Washington with the links below.  I hope that reading those articles that you may be tempted to sign up for our 2024 Palouse Tours.  The Palouse is my happy place and I enjoy sharing the region with photographers and sharing the amazing locations I have discovered over the nearly 20 years that I have been exploring the region.

The Palouse is located in the southwest Washington and has been nicknamed the Tuscany of America.  It’s a large area consisting of hundreds of miles of paved and unpaved roads.  I like t think that I have driven every road in the region.  I use a tracker system and set waypoints at locations that are good for photography.  There is so much to photograph in the Palouse as well as a lot of diversity of the type of locations that are photographed.

The Palouse 2022

This shot almost didn't happen. We were at a great location to catch sunset but the clouds were low and as the sunset nothing happened. After a bit of a wait we decided to pack it in and head back to the hotel. I looked in my rearview mirror about 5 minutes later and saw this. We stopped the car, luckily in a good place and witnessed and photographed a sunset in the Palouse I have never seen before.

Photography is my passion and has been for 50 plus years. My career in photography has allowed me to travel the world, meet some of the most interesting people on the planet and see things I could never have dreamed of. My goal is to share the passion of picture taking through photographs and teaching with as many people as I can, hoping it brings them as much joy and happiness as it has me. I do this through photoPXL.com, this site, as well as Rockhopper Workshops, and other projects, as well as teaching as Artist In Residence at the Indianapolis Art Center.
