Joe Cornish – We Have A Conversation About Photography
Joe Cornish – Change Is Coming
Joe Cornish is one of the most renowned landscape photographers today. I have known Joe for years and have done workshops where Joe was part of the instructor team. His work is stunning, and he nails composition with such ease.
I am talking to many photographers today and will discuss photography today and how things are changing. I don’t know any photographer that hasn’t experienced a change in their business. We must face the fact that the world of photography has taken a significant shift.
In the video below, I talk to Joe Cornish about the changes he’s seeing, especially as you learn the changes he has had to make. Joe has had a gallery and coffee shop for what seems like forever. He showcases not only his work but also the work of other prominent photographers. His gallery is a place to visit, have a cup of coffee, and feel comfortable admitting a collection of fine photography.
In the coming weeks, Joe will be closing this gallery space down. Like many things, his business has been affected by many changes in the world. Joe and I discussed this, as well as other topics, during our conversation.
Over the coming months, I’ll speak to several photographers and businesses related to photography to share with you the bigger picture of how photography has changed and is changing.

Photography is my passion and has been for 50 plus years. My career in photography has allowed me to travel the world, meet some of the most interesting people on the planet and see things I could never have dreamed of. My goal is to share the passion of picture taking through photographs and teaching with as many people as I can, hoping it brings them as much joy and happiness as it has me. I do this through photoPXL.com, this site, as well as Rockhopper Workshops, and other projects, as well as teaching as Artist In Residence at the Indianapolis Art Center.
