Introduction To The PXL Print It Series
Where Photography and Especially Printing Is Today
I am happy to share our first of many videos on printing. Last week Dan Steinhardt of Epson, John Pannozzo from ColorByte Software, Jeff Schewe esteemed author and master photographer, and I spent a few days making a lot of videos on many aspects of printing.
In our first video, we sit down together to discuss where making prints is as far as today’s photographers. We are is a digital age and while it great we can share our images on many types of devices, we all feel that in the end you really don’t have a photograph until you have a print. We may be a little old school, but there is something to be said about having a tangible and tactile print in your hands. You can enjoy detail, a feel, and enjoy exploring the image itself.
Prints don’t always have to be big. We will show in this series a number of different ways to share prints, big and small.
So, please joy this first video and watch for many more to come.
Photography is my passion and has been for5 0 plus years. My career in photography has allowed me to travel the world, meet some of the most interesting people on the planet and see things I could never have dreamed of. My goal is to share the passion of picture taking through photographs and teaching with as many people as I can, hoping it brings them as much joy and happiness as it has me. I do this through photoPXL.com, this site, as well as Rockhopper Workshops, and other projects, as well as teaching as Artist In Residence at the Indianapolis Art Center.
