Happy New Year
Happy New Year – It Can Only Get Better
Happy New Year and I truly hope that this is the year where things change for the better. I am still maintaining my optimist that 2022 will be a better year than the last two. I had high hopes for 2021 but it went downhill fast starting with January sixth. We certainly are not starting 2022 in good shape as the COVID Omicron variant spreads havoc around the world. But, I am keeping my spirits high and will push forward.
Thank you for being part of photoPXL during these trying times. We had so much planned and to put so much on hold. Travel and workshops came to a standstill for the most part again. However, 2022 is booked well and sold out in many cases, We still have some room on our Greenland workshops and one opening that just became available for our Faroe Islands workshop. I am sure the virus will be behind us by next February and you may possibly want to celebrate with our Antarctica trip. It’s time to get back out there and take photos again.
We are also close to announcing our printing workshops at the new studio. I’ll be offering three FREE spots for this workshop as a dry run. We will have info on this very soon. The whole idea of doing classroom workshops will be a big part of what we do over the next few years. We will cover video editing, light painting, post-processing, and much more. Keep your eye out for news on this. I am also considering adding four-person workshops as we do with the Palouse for some of my favorite areas in the US.
I am hoping the news is right when it says Omicron will peak fast and decline just as fast. Keeping my fingers crossed there. Next week we will publish another of our NEW printing videos. There will be 16 in total so they will come at you fast. We have several great articles coming your way as well. I am very encouraged by the topics we will cover as well as the talented contributors of articles.
I want to thank you once again for being part of PXL. On behalf of Chris, Michael, Debra, our article contributors, and especially myself. Please have a safe, fun, and healthy New Year.

Photography is my passion and has been for5 0 plus years. My career in photography has allowed me to travel the world, meet some of the most interesting people on the planet and see things I could never have dreamed of. My goal is to share the passion of picture taking through photographs and teaching with as many people as I can, hoping it brings them as much joy and happiness as it has me. I do this through photoPXL.com, this site, as well as Rockhopper Workshops, and other projects, as well as teaching as Artist In Residence at the Indianapolis Art Center.
