Aluminyze Metal Prints

Our friends at Aluminyze.com sent us a few samples of their large format metal prints. Including a 12X36 inch print from our recent trip to Antarctica. I opened this print with a couple of local photographer friends at Guggman Haus in Indianapolis and all three of us were blown away by the quality of the print and the care in which it was packaged. The detail and vibrant colors really popped and the image worked perfectly with that nice sheen off the surface. The company also uses recycled aluminum for all their prints to ensure a waste-free product.

In addition, Aluminyze also sent us two 30X40 inch prints. One of which was captured with the Fujifilm GFX100 which transferred to the aluminum with incredible detail. I have purchased metal prints from Aluminyze before and they have never disappointed me. You can tell they stand by their products and are dedicated to quality. Everything from how the prints are packaged to the materials they include to display them is all top-notch. The new hanging system that came with the prints was extremely easy to install and level. The aluminum is very light so I have no worries that the print will remain secure on the wall for a long time.
You can see in the accompanying video that the prints are packaged extremely well to avoid any scratching or bending while in transit. If you are anything like me you’ll want to tear through it in excitement but I recommend opening it as carefully as it was packed to avoid any unnecessary damage to the print.

At PhotoPXL we believe that photography isn’t complete until you are holding the print in your hands and I have to say holding large metal prints, is incredibly satisfying.
I want to thank Aluminyze.com for sending us these prints and giving us the opportunity to share them with you. This was not a paid advertisement, but they did provide us with the prints at no cost. Indianapolis, IN
After studying broadcast journalism at Illinois State University, I began my career in Central Illinois creating commercials and on-air promotions for local television affiliates. From 2008 to 2012, I worked for The Marketing Store where I created content for clients such as McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, and Southern Comfort. From there, I worked for Maddock Douglas, an innovation consulting firm, developing an internal photo/video offering. I left Maddock Douglas to be a creative director at FÁS Chicago, where I worked primarily for Case Construction. In 2017, I relocated to Indianapolis with my wife and two sons and I have started Michael Durr Photo/Video, LLC. Currently, I work in partnership with Kevin Raber and PhotoPXL, creating video content on all things photography. In addition I work on other freelance projects primarily around the midwest. Throughout my career, talented friends and great mentors have surrounded me. I have been fortunate to wake up every day never feeling like I was going to work. The combination of my professional experience, personality and drive to improve has given me a unique perspective from behind the lens. It is a combination of work and life that inspires me.
