2021 Photo Workshops and Beyond Announced

Let’s Try Again

Greenland

Like many of you, I am tired of sitting at home. I need to get out and photograph the world. This year as I am sure you will agree has been the worst. While it has given me time to reflect, revisit, and rework many of my images from the past, I have had to do it from the confines of my home.

Our family has certainly been witness to the effects of Covid-19 so we are still practicing safe practices and unlike so many that seem to have thought the Pandemic is over, we are still hunkered down, masked up and staying away from crowds.

The Palouse

It’s also sad to see that America is not welcome anywhere this summer because of how badly we have handled the response to Covid-19. This we continue on as we were until the so-called curve is flattened and there is a way to safely join the real world again.

So, this got me thinking a month or so ago about a lot of things and one of those was photography workshops which have been a big part of my business model for many years. I decided I couldn’t sit on my hands and wait until this pandemic was over before figuring out what to do next. I decided that I would launch a workshop series for 2021 with the anticipation  (based on the news I am monitoring) that just maybe we will have a vaccine early next year that will give us protection from this terrible virus. Thus, I am launching our photography workshops for 2021 and beyond.

All the details for these workshops are on my workshop site Rockhopperworkshps.com. I also have a short synopsis on this site under the Workshops menu. And, I have provided a listing here in the articles with direct links to specific workshops pages. I hope you check them out and consider joining us. The Palouse workshops have already seen good bookings as well as Faroe Islands, Greenland and a few for South Georgia Island and Greenland.

I also am working on a series of fine art printing workshops at my gallery and studio in Indianapolis. More information on these workshops will be announced soon. I have also decided to start doing Iceland Workshops again and I am working with my Icelandic partner to put together a set of workshops for 2022. I am also available to customize and lead small private’s workshops to many locations. Get in touch with me if you are interested in something private and special.

Photography is my passion and has been for 50 plus years. My career in photography has allowed me to travel the world, meet some of the most interesting people on the planet and see things I could never have dreamed of. My goal is to share the passion of picture taking through photographs and teaching with as many people as I can, hoping it brings them as much joy and happiness as it has me. I do this through photoPXL.com, this site, as well as Rockhopper Workshops, and other projects, as well as teaching as Artist In Residence at the Indianapolis Art Center.
