    Happy to see photopxl running!

    My first post.

From my recent trip to White Sands National Monument.

So glad to see you posting here. Excellent image from a very cool location.

One thing, the center of the sky is darker than the rest of the sky, kind of like a reverse vignette. It would look great to try to even the whole sky out. when this happens to me I use viveza in the NIK software package and selective go into those regions and lighten or darken to match.

I might also try warming up the whole scene especial the blue tint in the top of the dune. You could do that with color editor in C1 or in HSL in LR.

Just my 10 cents. Lovely image though.

Thanks Kevin! Definitely, the darker spot in the sky has been bothering me greatly. Haven’t been able to touch it up convincingly yet. I need to resurrect Viveza and try with it.

edit: yep, much better now, thanks!

Agreeing with the post above – really enjoying the lovely pastel colors in this composition – calming, relaxing. My first visit to NM was last year, and gee – what a lovely place! Hope to visit White Sands next time I am there. Lovely image, Francesco.

One comment: I feel if we can take out or adjust (a little) of the blue color cast that seems to be blanketing the entire scene, perhaps a better balance between pink and blue will result and increase the already succulent pastels.  Just a thought.

Thanks everyone! I made some of the changes suggested here, submitted to the International Photographic Competition 2019 and got into the Loan Collection! I’m delighted and I definitely owe everyone here a beer 🙂
