Re: Vero – It’s About TimeReply #1 on: November 3, 2022 at 3:15 pmI’ve joined. The desktop app for Macs is in beta and it shows. I couldn’t get it to work at all. The iPhone app seems pretty good.

Re: Vero – It’s About TimeReply #2 on: November 3, 2022 at 4:26 pmYes, I joined too – and thank you Jeremy for the invitation but alas the software is not hugely intuitive and I found no way to reply. I will look again.
Re: Vero – It’s About TimeReply #4 on: November 5, 2022 at 6:13 amKevin,
Thanks for the article. Good luck on the platform.
Sounds like another time sink without a financially sustainable future, unless they charge. I’ll wait before jumping in because promoting my photography to other photographers is not a good use of marketing dollars or time.

Re: Vero – It’s About TimeReply #5 on: November 5, 2022 at 8:47 amII found easy enough. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.vero.app&_branch_match_id=938478917518145885&_branch_referrer=H4sIAAAAAAAAA8soKSkottLXT08t0StLLcrXS87XL09N0k3MSynKz0wBAM3Ldw8fAAAA

Visually, I find it very appealing, also that you can view the photos larger, such as on Instagram, which of course also increases the likelihood of image theft. The Mac client runs quite well, the Android client falters from time to time and does not always run smoothly.
With my first test upload I uploaded a set of photos, where I accidentally uploaded an oversharpened photo. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to be possible to delete this photo alone, but you have to delete the whole set. This is unpleasant but maybe I have overlooked the function?
What I have not found right away is whether the photos can be structured in any way or segmented?

Re: Vero – It’s About TimeReply #7 on: November 7, 2022 at 9:58 amOliver, I upload my images one at a time and you can then download them. That way each image can be hashtagged with the right words. Their hashtag system is nice as it gives you choices. Unfortunately, I haven’t figured out the way to select multiple hashtags. I go in and put the start of the hashtag in the repeat.

indeed it seems that you have to upload photos individually to be able to delete them individually if necessary. If I upload several photos in one post, I can apparently not delete individual photos later on, which I think could have been solved better:

Re: Vero – It’s About TimeReply #9 on: November 8, 2022 at 8:30 amThats because it’s a post and treat like a post which kind of means All or Nothing. As they update the app maybe they will allow deletion of a single image in a multiple image post.

First, I can understand why many are not particularly satisfied with Instagram, there are on the one hand little distinctive display options of the photos, also fits the one or the other trimming of the images do not fit properly in the templates and the display is at least on tablets and PCs much too small to look at photos in a pleasant way more intense. In addition, unfair offers with Bitcoins and much in this kind, which is annoying.
Vero already does a lot better. The images are so large that you can view them very well on all platforms and even unusual cropping is usually processed and displayed well. I have not experienced any annoyances of the kind mentioned above.
What I am missing, however, would be a possibility to structure the own photos in the aftermath virtual via freely selectable headings. So you could set up themes, destinations and every imaginable grouping and bring to the display. It would not actually need much more to be almost optimal.
There is one more problem with http links in posts. It’s nice that you can set http links unlike Instagram but unfortunately Vero currently turns http into https so you get an error message saying the page is unreachable. In this regard I have contacted the support and hope that this will be adjusted.
