Tree reflection

    I quite enjoy this one, in particular the mix up of the tree reflection and the “fake” leaves, which are actually grass sticking out of a puddle.

    Any comments welcome!

    I like it but I think I would crop it where the house starts to come into the reflection

    Hi Paul,

    thanks for looking! Yes I tried that but I do like the green grass in the foreground “grounding” the image. Also, to me the house adds another layer of info, suggesting something about a contrast between manmade vs nature…

    The juxtaposition of the tree reflection with the grass in the water is splendid! The grass plays the role of leaves – you have to look closely to see that it is grass in the water.  Wonderful!

    I agree with Paul that the house reflection detracts.

    I love how the photograph plays with perception, its inversion intrigues the eye. I think that without the house the playfulness may be weakened. Perhaps there could be less ‘foreground’ grass – but that is a quibble. A very successful shot!
