I updated from Big Sur 11.6.1 to 11.6.2 (security update) and NOW many of my custom printer profiles can not be recognized by Photoshop, Lightroom or the Mac Colorsync utility, even though they are in the same folder as profiles that these programs can recognize.

Even worse, when I try and print using profiles LR/PS can recognize, they print the colors WRONG.

When I boot off of a backup made with 11.6.1 everything works fine.

There are some reports that upgrading to V12 Monterey fixes the problem. (I’m reluctant to try this at the moment due to other apps I’m running).

THIS tread on Apple discussion board has many details:

Its a bug in that dot release and has been reported in multiple forums including Adobe’s. You can try rolling back to the last release or forward to 12.1 which isn’t affected by the bug.

Not only are profiles not seen, many are reporting they can’t print at all, even with profiles they can ‘see’ and select.

Both my P800 and 3880 print as they should under 12.1.
