Adobe Lightroom & Adobe Camera Raw

Happy birthday Camera Raw, and Lightroom oh, and Photoshop. Camera Raw shipped 20 years ago on February 19th. It was at a Photoshop World in 2003 in LA. The plug-in cost $99. Such a deal…

BTW, did you know that today in 1990 is when Photoshop 1.0 shipped? Yep, February 19th, 1990.

And guess when Lightroom 1.0 shipped? If you guess February 19th 2007 you would be right.

I’ve posted a message about the origins on my Facebook Timeline (if you’re on Facebook)

Remember, I posted a Happy Birthday Digital Imaging story here on PhotoPxL.

Here’s some of the new screenshots I did…

    Here’s a Get Info on the two plug-ins…hum, 3.4MBs vs 317MBs…

I guess they added some stuff over the last 20 years 😎

Thanks for all that Jeff. Great portrait of Martin. Also noticeable – the improvement in image processing quality has been dramatic over the period. That shows very well.
