The folks at Smugmug just released a new short film about Elizabeth Gadd. She’s a self-portrait landscape photographer. Some really inspiring work there.

    Hi Mike!

Thanks for the link. That’s some wonderful stuff she is doing. I’ve seen some images like hers, but created with an expedition of models, lights, grips, etc.  She seems so much more connected and engaged.

Hi Dave: I also watched another Smugmug movie last night on Omar Z Robles working with dancers (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FHXKbHdghAE) and I thought this was just like Joe McNally, only without the crew, lights, reflectors, umbrellas… I have enormous respect for Joe’s work, and he is a master of what he does, but this was… simpler.

A number of the videos they have on their page are quite good.  I like watching different videos on photography. These were nice intros to the photographer and not so much how it was done. Inspiration comes to mind.
