Thanks Paul.  When I saw your version of El Capitan it reminded me of that trip.  I was particularly attuned to El Capitan because my nephew was working in Yosemite as a volunteer the previous summer.  He was climbing El Capitan (with ropes) with a friend when he accidentally dropped his pack, which fell 600 feet.  He lost his food/water/shirt and non-climbing shoes, but decided to continue to the top.  Had to hike back to the valley in his climbing shoes and got a sunburn on the way.  While I have hiked and backpacked for decades, that photo is the closest I will get to climbing El Capitan.

Nice, John, and you can get rid of the contrail in Camera Raw.Not hard to do.

Yes, Russ, but I liked the contrail.  I have other shots without it.

Fair enough, John. I liked contrails when I was flying F-84s, but I don’t much care for them in pictures.
