What an honor to spend time talking with William Neill.  Bill is a great friend and has done a lot to inspire my photography.  I have just published my Conversation With William Neill.  I hope you enjoy the conversation.

Thanks for the Conversation with Bill.  I also understand your frustration of sunny cloudless days that we get too much of here in Yosemite.  I ofter get frustrated and don’t take any photos for weeks at a time.  Bill has reminded me that I got to keep shooting and push away my preconceived ideas and expectations.  There is good light everywhere.  One just has to find it.  Bill is a fine human being who cares about nature.

I just took delivery of  “Light on the Landscape” yesterday. Clearly I haven’t digested it all yet, but I did look through it rather carefully and read some passages. I am deeply impressed. This book is a treasure of fine photography, fine writing, fine presentation and real inspiration. I highly recommend it. I bought one of the signed hardcover copies. I don’t know how many hard cover copies Rocky Nook had manufactured, but I think this is one book that deserves to be owned and preserved in hard covers. There is a wealth of guidance and insight in it that will be valuable to return to over and over again.
