<p>I understand with the latest update, the PRO-1000 can print on 17×25 inch paper (up from 17×22). With this new capability, where can I find such sizes? I have only found Red River to be a supplier. Others? Has anyone good/bad/indifferent experience to report?</p>

Indeed. The Pro 1000, which I use also, doesn’t accept rolls, and my limited experience is that the feed mechanism–which is pretty much flawless with flat paper–can’t handle curled papers well. The one time I tried, I couldn’t get the pieces flat enough to avoid some head strikes. Then again, that was with a very thick, stiff paper. It might be feasible to flatten some papers enough.
Re: Canon PRO-1000 17×25 paperReply #5 on: January 28, 2021 at 10:09 amI have successfully printed on long sheets on both an Epson 3880 and now a Pro-1000. I cut the paper to the correct lengthy with a Rotatrim and then gently roll it against the curl on a four inch mailing tube to straighten it. This seems to work well as long as you are careful in the rolling process not to scratch the ink receptor surface.
Re: Canon PRO-1000 17×25 paperReply #6 on: January 28, 2021 at 11:46 amI wondered about that Alan. I’d heard somewhere that it might be possible to print longer than 25″ but no specifics. How far have you gone in terms of length? Do you believe 16×32 or 16×48 would be possible?
