After the projections of a major show of Northern Lights earlier in the week we saw a “Cannibal CME impact”. CME is Coronal Mass Ejection  “Cannibal” CME’s are a combination of more than one hitting earths atmosphere at the same time.

The light show went on until morning sun made the sky too bright to see them.

Nice part was no wind and temperature was relatively warm, 24(f).

The light show was big enough that I got a few photos of the Aurora display over Orien to the South of us.

Now hoping we get some really big storms when it is sub zero, still air and good snow cover on the ground.

Am in North Dakota, about 30 miles South of Canada.

Saw the light show start and headed out with cameras to a few old farmsteads. They photograph well in various light and weather.

This was the best light show in some time. Last few chances we were overcast. This time, clear skies.
