Hadrian’s Wall

June 9, 2020

Taken in very changeable weather with hail and rain flying down. A 5 shot panorama using a 2 stop ND grad to keep the highlights in check. Some work to remove the worst of the hail streaks, sharpen the corners and reduce the blue saturation. Ken

Very well done. Great composition along with careful editing to preserve the mood.

This is a very beautiful picture of somewhere that I have never been to - and I live in the UK. Shame on me. If I do visit I doubt that I would make anything as good as this. The lead in line of the wall takes us to the beautifully lit landscape with great aerial recession, across the horizon and then to cap it all culminates in the break in the clouds.

Nicely done. Quite a feat of engineering, that wall...
