After photographing in the morning light which quickly flattens the land under bright sun and blue sky, Michael Reichmann would often turn to detail.

The light on this subject is perfect Russ. Great textures, colour & composition. Very enjoyable.

Thanks, Chris. I don’t remember where I shot this. Tomorrow I’ve got to go back into my catalog and see if I can figure it out. I’ve been having some pretty serious internet connection problems. There should be a teach out tomorrow, so I may have to delay my search. But I hope I can figure out where I made the shot.

No such luck. It was on the way to St. Augustine in March, 2004, but I didn’t catalog the location. The next picture in the series is a little, abandoned church. I know where that was, but I don’t think the wheel was associated with it.

I like it a lot. I try to look for details like that, even before the morning light has disappeared. Don’t often succeed.
