    Excellent, Russ. Sharp and with a good, unintrusive background. Do you have a slightly less-cropped version, including the ends of his right talons?

    That’s better. I agree the fencepost is unattractive. The things behind him, that look like slim cigarette butts, don’t increase the aesthetic appeal of the shot either. I imagine they’d be trivially easy to remove.

    Those things behind him are what’s left of wires that were put there to keep birds from standing on the post and pooping on a pump below. They finally cut them off, but the ugly remains remain.
