    Yes, the geometry does appeal to me. However, I find the lower right (and a sliver of the upper left) distracting and would probably do an 8×10 crop from the top to help focus my eye on the geometry and shadows. Have you considered a contrasty B/W?

    With the B/W crop, I agree that the color version is more appealing to my eye at least.

    Color version is preferred.  Maybe some non-format cropping, possibly square.
