I’m an amateur photographer who just relocated from Phoenix AZ to a somewhat rural area in Maryland – nearest photography club is over an hour away.  I like to start a club in this area, and I’m seeking advice on how to go about doing that.  What’s the best way to find members?  Meetup vs. Facebook vs. whatever?  How to plan outings.  Material for informational meetings.  etc.

So, how about a forum on Photography Clubs?

Thanks Christopher!  I’m a bit confused on how these forums work.  I assume you the gate keeper who approves and creates the new forums?  If so, where is it?  I thought it might go under the “Speakers Corner – Ideas, Opinion & Debate.”  Do you need an initial post to kick it off?

Ahh yes! You enter an unknown room and it’s empty…wtf?

Currently that forum has an eerie hollow feeling. All you need do is create a topic title and make the first post. Don’t be shy. Get there before All Hallows Eve! ))

OK – I’m starting to see how this works.  I was looking for “Start New Topic” – I see now you created a new forum “The Art of Photography > Photography Clubs”.  I’ll create a kick off topic there later today.

Thanks again!  We’ll run it up the flag pole and see if anybody salutes!
