    I was fortunate to be in Edmonton, Alberta for work in January 2021 while their Deep Freeze winter festival was starting. It was hard to get into the flow of taking photos when it is -30C but I was still having fun. My initial images were of the art installations and ice sculptures which were technically fine images but not very satisfying.

    Just before I was about to head home I spotted amazing color patterns covering the snow below a series of fancy lanterns with different cut-outs and colors.  I was almost giddy when I noticed these patterns like an abstract painting.

    Hi, Bryan. It’s a lovely collection of colors, but why is it in the street photography section?
