Very nice composition. Maybe a bit of cropping for full symmetry?

I agree about the composition but not about cropping.

Of course there could be a motivation for that slight bit of asymmetry. Would be great to know, Jeremy.

Erik, I can say no more than “it just looked right to me”. I tried a crop which produced full symmetry and I didn’t like it as much.

Thank you, Jeremy, I was just curious. A friend of mine cannot stand (near-)perfect symmetry. I tend to decide case by case between symmetry and more pronounced asymmetry. The good thing is: There’s no right or wrong. Or rather, right is what the photographer thinks is right.
    Best regards,

    Erik

Erik, I’m sure that’s right. Sometimes I like symmetry, sometimes I don’t. This shot, for example, I think needed it (or as close as I could get, being jostled by hundreds of tourists in those halcyon, pre-covid days).

That is a very cool shot as well. Symmetry looks right to me as well.
And I can imagine it wasn’t easy NOT to be run over under Tour Eiffel. 😃
