    Hi,

Looking for an ‘L’ Bracket (Arca Swiss compatible) for a GFX100S here in the UK.  Any recommendations?

    Thanks,

    Andy

Try really Right Stuff or Kirk.  They are American though.

    Thanks Kevin.

American is good! 🙂  I’d prefer an L Bracket designed for the camera and, not unsurprisingly as its a new body, there is little choice at the moment.  I’m sure that will change.  Kirk are advertising one on their website but with a picture of a GFX100 but, best of all, it costs $0.00!  I guess that means one is being manufactured.  I’ll keep looking over the next month or so.

If anyone finds a generic L Bracket that works well – i.e. doesn’t obscure key ports – I’d be intereted to hear…

    Thanks,

    Andy

Acratech makes a really fine universal L-plate.  Expensive, but worth it.

Thanks Rand.  That really is expensive!  🙂

I’m trying the 3 Legged Thing Universal L-bracket:

    https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1347311-REG/3_legged_thing_qr11_lc_copper_110mm_l_bracket.html

It’s not expensive and is available in Europe.

Promedia are another company that make universal as well as custom L-brackets.  They are heavy though …

I’m trying the 3 Legged Thing Universal L-bracket:

That’s what I’m now considering as its a UK company and readily available here.  Do you find it blocks the battery compartment at all?  Also, are any of the side ports accessible or are they blocked?

    Thanks

Andy, it’s not perfect and sits proud of the front of the camera. It can be mounted offset to the side with the doors, allowing access to the doors. The battery compartment is completely accessible. Hope this helps.

Andy, the 3 Legged Thing Ellie may be an even better choice. I’m gonna try one this week.
