Going 45 miles to WalMart to get Mobil 1 for an oil change on the pickup. Back roads and drifting snow in a landscape of one inch hoarfrost – soon to be gone as we were warming to 40 degrees the next day. So far a very warm winter. 27 below is the coldest night so far. Only four nights in the 20 below range, nothing at all 30-40 below. Misting and rain the past few days with 40 above Saturday. Mist and warm has a lot of the snow icing over and slick conditions for walking.

The old car was in a small drift of snow. Not covered as we have not had much snow. Maybe a foot over the whole winter so far.

As I went slowly by I stopped to check out the old wreck and walking around it saw the icicles. The steering wheel and far horizon helps.

An interesting interpretation of age. Nicely done.
