    Overall, I like it. My only quibble is that the seed heads, dead centre, bottom of frame are OOF. Their location makes them one of the dominant features of the image, but being OOF they’re more of a distraction than an element of the image.

    Fair point, Mike. I’ve been back (and been heavily bitten for my pains) to try some focus stacking, but I’ve not managed to re-create the tonalities of this shot, which are what draws me to it. I’ve compromised by a little burning. Better?
