    Hi Kevin

I am looking forward to watching your EPL video you have made with Dano.

Howevere, I wonder if Dano can throw any light on something I have noticed?

The PC installer file is named differently depending on the download site.

In the EU it is named “epson640086eu.exe” with a file size of 31.7MB

But the USA one is named “EPL_155.exe” with a file size of 31.6MB

This has piqued my curiosity and what the differences may be between the two programs when installed?

I can only surmise that I should. when I get my ET-8550, install the EU version of EPL and equally any USA users need to install the USA version ~ but why???

FWIW I am still waiting on the ET-8550 to be available again in the UK

TIA for your & Dano’s insight on this puzzle 🙂

I asked Dano and below is his request.

It’s always best to use the driver for the Region of the world as there may be differences in papers available around the world or other localized differences.

Most likely paper types are different in US and EU and thus the application reflects this.  Always download the app for your region.

    Hi Kevin

Thanks to both you & Dano for the insight and I sort of surmised it might have been something to do with regional differences of some kind.  But always better to get an answer than guess & surmise in matters technical.

    🙂
