    Aside from the fact that they need air traffic control?

    It doesn’t quite cut it for me. Sometimes you get what you can get, but it would be better if both birds were in the image. Others are certainly welcome to disagree!

    Interesting comment, Mike. I was initially unhappy that I’d not caught the departing bird in the frame, but the more I thought about it, the more I began to believe (convince myself?) that I’d have cropped it like this even if I had. I think it’s mainly because, as Hugh says, it’s the feet.
