Jensen said (at 9:50 in the video):

that is one of the things I love about photography, that it opens up connections with people and places and adventures.  Who cares about the prints, who cares about then photographs, it is the life that is so interesting.

Well, I’d like to say I do care about my photographs, but I think he is right – it is the life that is so interesting.

I’ve long subscribed to LensWork and have found Brooks, and his musings, as well as the photographers shown in LensWork often inspirational.  At times I vehemently disagree with Brooks (i.e. small prints are superior to large prints) but he causes one to think about photography, why we are so passionate about this “hobby,” and why we have a devotion to this art form.  Thanks to Kevin and Brooks for the wonderful interview. More please!
