This is about a km from our house. A panorama made from Ogden Point, Victoria, BC, looking across the Juan de Fuca Strait over to the San Juan mountains of Washington.

Re: A Room With a ViewReply #2 on: September 28, 2020 at 4:20 pmHi Mike,
this is very nice indeed. Amazing how the clouds appear to touch the sea! My only comment is related to the black little something on the right outer edge of the frame. Is this a jetty or something of that sort? Personally I find it slightly distracting. Maybe worth cropping it out?
Regards
Frank

Jeremy, no, not yet, but it’s worth taking a look. Thanks for the suggestion!
Frank, that’s a bed of bull kelp, but you’re right. Easily removed.

On a good day we have a great view of Port Angeles and the Olympic Mountains over in WA. When we had the smoke from the west coast fires up here, you couldn’t see anything. In late summer, early August we get a lot of morning fog and it was like that, but even thicker. There’s a walkway along the ocean here and every day at sunset people line up along the shore for a ‘City of Angels’ moment.
