This follows Kevin’s reference to an interest in ICM during the recent interview with Brooks Jennings.

One of the issues with being a photographer long-in-the-tooth is that, with the explosion of online photography it’s hard to look like one isn’t copying someone else. I often see photographs/photographers I would never have heard of 20+ years ago but which hit me instantly as things I like, and similar to what I had done/want to do.

Such it is with ICM. I have photographs taken on film many years ago before I ever heard of the term that now seem derivative, but are not except to have been influenced by my earlier love of 20th Century painters like Klee and (early) Mondrian. This image is a later digital one taken around 2015 when I first got a digital camera and wondered how much more controllable it might be.
