Botswana Elephant Train

June 22, 2020

I shot this image while on a Safari workshop conducted by Thom Hogan in Botswana in 2013. The guide/driver that day was an awesome guy and an expert on animal behavior. It was close to lunchtime and we were returning to the camp when we came across a heard of elephants grazing. He stopped the vehicle at a spot and asked us to relax and wait for the herd to go to the waterhole. After about 15-20 minutes, they formed a line and walked towards the waterhole. Nikon D7100 + 80-400 Nikkor.

Line of elephants, great. Pleasing colors.

Quite the experience for you. So much wisdom in that matriarch at the front of the line. Nicely done. Mike.
