The Chat – My Apology
The Idea Sounded Cool
A few weeks ago, my wife, Debra, and I were chatting about new things we could do for photoPXL. One of those ideas was doing a daily chat video. The concept was to make a short video of around 2-5 minutes and share something about the site, industry, or quick tips every day.
Well, the idea was good, and I am enjoying doing it. However, these videos require a lot of work. It’s a lot more work than I thought it would be.
I could make any number of excuses, but my days go fast. I am doing many things and have just been running out of hours. So, rather than putting out mediocre videos, I would like to do good ones. Those take a bit more. There is B roll, research, etc., to make them.
So, I apologize for thinking I could do daily videos, and now, rather than call these The Daily Chat, I am going to do just The Chat. I intend to do a few a week. Maybe someday, if I have a larger team, I could do daily videos, but I am a one-person band now.
Thank you for understanding, and I hope you like many of the things we will be doing on photoPXL. Look for an update video about the site very soon.
The Video ( 2:00)
Photography is my passion and has been for 50 plus years. My career in photography has allowed me to travel the world, meet some of the most interesting people on the planet and see things I could never have dreamed of. My goal is to share the passion of picture taking through photographs and teaching with as many people as I can, hoping it brings them as much joy and happiness as it has me. I do this through photoPXL.com, this site, as well as Rockhopper Workshops, and other projects, as well as teaching as Artist In Residence at the Indianapolis Art Center.
