Capture One New Features With Kevinon: December 12, 2020 at 6:50 pm
They have a new ProStandard profile for the camera I am using, Sony A7RM4.
Using the lab readouts to do a comparison I am also finding a reduction in magenta ( but not for images with magenta ) and a slight increase in yellow.
I wonder with the introduction of speed edits this is a way of trialling for Kevin’s ” big surprise ” a tablet version of C1 ?
Negative dehaze is good for enhancing fog / mist or for steam from steam trains especially as it can be used on a layer and brushed in.
One has to rember that v20 had some excellent new features in 20.1 so maybe 21.1 sometime in mid-year will also have something ?

His Capture One tutorial webinar series is excellent and well worth stopping by for a viewing, especially the Pro Tips playlist.

Re: Capture One UpdateReply #4 on: May 19, 2020 at 5:06 amWhat I like about before / after is if in Split View one can continue to adjust the after portion.
I think this is going to help in easily comparing white balance adjustments and / or colour grading just by moving the slider.
Many people have also suggested the history palette in C1 forums but having never previously found a use for it in Lightroom I think I can manage without it
Maybe worth testing using an heal layer for dust spotting now that multiple source points are available as it might be easier to use than spotting tool ?
