    What I wish to express is not directly pointing at you as a photographer, Terry.

    I am lashing out at P-PXL in general, degrading quality articles. It started out high but plummeted very low over time. Topics/articles have become rarer, and thanks to that, the content is indifferent and not worth reading anymore. It’s not everyone who wishes to participate in artic workshops but merely subscribes to become better photographers and find inspiration.

    I blame the editors for having become ‘lazy” and worn-out oldtimers.

    I am a 7R3 user and have more than one of them to cover a fall back solutions because of abslutely lousy Sony service where I live. Biased by SAR rumors, which had one important thing wrong IMO, the 36 MP sensor designed like the A9. My perfect compromize to the picture size I print. I saw my chance as a still image shooter to have a silent best tracking and AF camera ever existed. I was excited. Video? I have no interest at all and can’t care less how hybrid cameras performs. It’s indifferent to me. Still image only. When I saw what A9II really is, I realized I had my expectations wrong. It’s a camera for photo journalism and sports where interconnect to the receipient speed has high priority and it has on events like the Olympics and other on time documented events. I wanted a sort of 7R4 but without the unusable 61 MP files (for me) and with higher noise and much bigger files. Also the A9’s, both, has kept lossy compressed 14 bit files to Sony AWR 3.2.1. format! Posterization artifacts may not be a prolem to you, but it’s a problem to me. But I learned a lesson I think. We Sony shooters have come to expect revolutions at each iteration of a 7 camera due to the past few years speedy developments. Or am I wrong? Anyways I sit back, maybe a bit disappointed, because I don’t want a 7R4 and now see the A9II was not at all adressed to me. Well I stay where I am with my wonderful 7R3’s and shoot happily on and getting excellent results from it. Improvements important to me is showing up in the future I am sure 🙂

    Hi again friends..

    …and again I couldn’t find any comments to Kevins review of the Sony 7R4 where he compares it to cameras as Fuji GXF 50and the uber Phase One.

    I have been on the fence about moving from my two 7R3’s to two 7R4’s, but ran into thoughts on such as difraction kicking in earlier, bigger demands to lens accuracy and precission alignment, hand holding sensibility, focus precision using shallow DOF despite eye focus and such.
    All that holded me back and I simply left the though buying the new cameras. So far. I didn’t want a pure tripod demanding camera.

    I am always on the fence when Sony moves the tech. and now I am just insane curious how the A9II is and if it has a suitable 36MP sensor which is enough for me. (Said the old Nikon D810 user 🙂

    It’s about time Sony lifts the scene carpet and show what they got. Am I agin to change ieteration or I can happily live on with the 7R3.
    Now for the sake of sharing,  the 7R3 is eronomically just improving so much mounting a Gabale L-Plate. I use judt the buttom plate and my God how that imroves the comfort shooting the camera: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2o3u9Pd5j4Q
    No I am not involved in the commercial part of this product. Just enjoying it.

    Hi friends…

    Couldn’t find any other comments to Kevins rave about the Sony 100-400mm GM lens, so to share common experience, I go with a topic by its own.

    First of all I can’t praise this lens enough because not only it replaces my 70-200/4 and 70-300mm G lens, it also makes my Sony photograhy a pure plasure supplying it with the 24-105 mm G lens which is at least as transparent and sharp as my now sold 24-70mm GM lens looking to 40 % of the center of the lens. Only corners suffers a bit compared. That said, with a tad of salt, because my sample of the 24-70mm GM wasn’t symetrical mounted from factory even having it replaced with big trouble. Hence the whole left side of the frame on both lenses wasn’t as sharp ans the right side. A small ‘arghhh’ because this should not happen on a lens in that price class, SONY!!!

    But ok, I am as glad as a billion doller lotto winner with the two lens combo I have today.

    I supply my bag with a 16-35mm GM lens if I know I will be faced with compositions requiring such wide vission to make a balaced composition.

    May I end up saying the 100-400mm GM lens is perhaps my best Sony lens? I am very, very happy with it. Happy shooting 100-400mm owners.
