No experience with the latest Hasselblad—I use the Phase XF (with the HAP2 AF upgrade). AF performance is excellent. Afr feature works well, especially in studio. Make sure to focus trim your lenses.

Re: Wine Country Filter holder great but with a fatal flaw.Reply #2 on: January 21, 2020 at 12:36 amThe other nit on the Wine Country Holder is that the inside slot for a 100 x 100 filter frame does not have a lock or friction button lock to hold the frame in securely. Frames can easily slide/fall out of this slot, necessitating use of adhesive tack or a small binder clip on the frame.

in reply to: XT Camera System #8359Re: XT Camera SystemReply #4 on: September 29, 2019 at 10:27 am….
That third group is the most questionable in my mind because of what we have to give up getting the XT, at least today:
- Tilt. This is a big one. Along with other movements associated with bellows/rail systems.
- Switching cost. Significant for all but existing Cambo WRS (not Actus) owners.
- Lens availability: Again, not a problem for WRS owners but a big one for all others.

Dave
You pretty much summed up my thoughts as a current Cambo WRS 1600 and IQ4150 user. I do like the apparently smaller size of the XT, but at this juncture I can wait to see how this new system matures before considering it. I can wait. Seeing the IQ4 MFDB mature (*ahem* step it up Phase One!) into the Flagship Platform it is supposed to be is much more important to me.
Imho, Phase One needs to address the firmware and feature updates of the IQ4 platform first. The Phase XT system would be much more attractive to new users/buyers if they knew that the Phase One IQ4 platform had already evolved into a stable flagship workhorse like the IQ3.
No doubt that the IQ4 offers incredible image quality. But if I were a new user considering the XT system, the IQ4 platform in its current limited state would give me great pause for thought before opening my wallet.

in reply to: Flat Bed Scanner or Camera #3282Re: Flat Bed Scanner or CameraReply #5 on: July 13, 2019 at 9:23 amThe difficulty with “affordable” or consumer level scanners is really more of a limitation in that the scanning bed is too small for a lot of artwork. It really is not too difficult to do photographic copy work if you have a basic understanding of photography and lighting. I have an old Epson V700, but I’d opt for the camera to do the copy work for artwork.
