I’ve thought about shooting from above however since all the water drop equipment hangs directly above it just isn’t possible. I could get a partial view however the end result wouldn’t be the same.
I am thinking of shooting from below just to see if I can do it. I’ll everyone posted on the results…

Totally impressed with the camera. The weather took a turn for the worse and while we weren’t able to shoot much landscape we did capture a ton of wildlife. The AF and high burst mode is something I’ve never encountered in a medium format system. Great overall camera.

in reply to: Thinking of changing from Nikon D810 to Fuji XT3 #11308Re: Thinking of changing from Nikon D810 to Fuji XT3Reply #7 on: November 17, 2019 at 2:56 pmI don’t have a Nikon however I do have the XT3 along with a GFX100. I bought the XT3 shortly before my trip to Jackson Hole this year thinking it would be a great companion to the GFX50 I had. I no longer have the GFX50 and feel the XT3 is a great walk around camera for those time I don’t need or want to lug the bigger stuff out. Great little camera with 2-lenses; 16-80 and 100-400 covers everything I might need without being too heavy.

Don, would you consider writing an article for this site? Please post some of your images in the community gallery. It would be a great place to share such nice images.
Thanks Kevin I’ll see if I can put something together for here. In the meantime I’d suggest visiting our blog for more information.

Jeremy
Jeremy, I’m currently using a MIOPS trigger to trigger the drops and flash. You almost need 3-hands. The shutter needs to be opened before the water drops which trigger the flash. You close the shutter after the flash goes off.
