It’s a bit tricky to get any real idea of what an image stitched from multiple 100MP originals would look like from the attached file, Rand, but it seems a lovely place.

    Jeremy,

The final file, with multiple adjustment layers in Photoshop is 3.5 gigs. Massive. Had to save as PSB to preserve the layers in my master file. Then I flattened it and saved as tiff and printed 42” wide. It is spectacular, if I do say so myself.

I’ve been trying for 40 years (literally) to capture a “quiet grove” shot like this. Once the sun is up, the contrast ratio is about eight zillion to one. I’m very happy with this image. The redwood groves along the “Avenue of the Giants” holds a special place in my mind and heart.

Well done.  I  have been lucky enough to shoot at that amazing location.  I am sure the detail is astounding in your image.
