    Epson SC P800 Printing Yellow lines across prints

    Mark, I don’t see any blank spaces in any of the purge files.  I got a response from Epson:

    Epson Technical Support Response

    If it is a hardware issue, I was under the impression that not much can be done to fix this printer. Thanks again!

    Hi Marta, sorry to hear it’s hardware. If it means the print head, I suspect it will not be worthwhile repairing this printer because the cost of the part and the service could be close to or greater than the cost of a new printer (you should check with Epson), in which case, if you don’t have urgent work to do I would suggest waiting a bit until the P900 becomes available for us to test and review.

    Thanks Mark, I agree with you completely.  I think I may go up to a 24inch printer.  I haven’t decided yet.  You have been so helpful to me today.  I’m sure you understand how stressful these printer issues can be.

    You are welcome Marta, and yes, these printers are incredibly great machines – until they aren’t! But one way or another we move onward and upward with more good stuff to come.
