    C1 – Price Increase?
    on: December 11, 2022 at 1:37 pm

Yes – just checking on latest pricing of the options you have a point. Chromix sells Input6 for $625, while the Calibrate Passport Photo 2 costs only 119 from B&H. As for the URL, this one for Europe (Oliver is in Germany) should work: https://support.xritephoto.eu/software-downloads/

Here’s the download site, but can’t put in the hyperlink: support.xritephoto.eu/software-downloads/. Put this in front: https://

And yes – much cheaper than Input6.

    Hello Andrew,

yes that is correct. I have the Colorchecker SG, which to my knowledge also works with it.

… Insert hyperlinks is currently causing problems here. I get then every now and then error messages, this is SPAM.

… thank you for the tip, the product I have installed for a while but only times a few tests almost two years ago made with it, because I have a photo friend who was looking for something like that at the time.

The Datacolor Colorchecker also goes in the direction of my memory.

The Datacolor target is a MacBeth ColorChecker rip-off (much like many of their products, with few original ideas). Worse, the product doesn’t make real DCP camera profiles. They simply alter HSL settings, making them moot to use. Avoid the target and the software.

Since I have the Colorchecker SG, XRite would have been the first choice here anyway, but first I have to complete my basic considerations on the subject of software for the future, as described in detail above.

And another product for making profiles (not free), from the creator of the X-rite Passport itself!

So far, I only knew Colorburst as a provider of RIPs and not in this segment. You never stop learning :).
