Changes At photoPXL – The Daily Chat
Change At photoPXL

It’s been an interesting few years. For many photographers, coming out of the pandemic changed a lot of things. Over the last year, I have been looking at photography as an industry, and it is not like it even 5 years ago.
Change is inevitable. To ignore change makes you irrelevant. Today in the video below I will introduce the start of change for photoPXL. I lost the wind in my sails over the last few months and I became frustrated with the industry and business. I worked on a number of projects and stepped back to take a look at what I was doing and where photography was headed. Changes in the photography industry are many. We have moved from analog to digital, and some even moved back to analog. There are no more big trade shows like Photokina and PhotoPlus. There are no monthly printed photography magazines in the US anymore. Even the largest website for photography, DPReview, was sold off.
Photography has been my passion and career for 52-plus years. I intend to continue to enjoy it and share my experiences as well as others. Today, I announce the start of changes in the short video below. Please feel free to comment on the forum and be part of this change. I am excited and fired up about where I want to see things go. Please, take the journey with me.

Photography is my passion and has been for 50 plus years. My career in photography has allowed me to travel the world, meet some of the most interesting people on the planet and see things I could never have dreamed of. My goal is to share the passion of picture taking through photographs and teaching with as many people as I can, hoping it brings them as much joy and happiness as it has me. I do this through photoPXL.com, this site, as well as Rockhopper Workshops, and other projects, as well as teaching as Artist In Residence at the Indianapolis Art Center.
